ConverterKey is a public tools site. Most pages can be used without creating an account, logging in, or submitting direct contact information. The site includes interactive tools, analytics, and advertising-related services, so this policy explains how those pieces work together.
When you browse ConverterKey, standard web request information may be processed, such as IP address, browser type, device type, request headers, page views, referring URLs, approximate location, and technical diagnostics. We use that information to keep the site running, understand usage patterns, and measure performance.
We also process the minimum information needed to operate specific tools. For example, the Currency Converter uses the amount and selected currencies required to return a conversion result. Browser-based tools such as the Word Counter and JPG to PNG converter work locally in the browser as described below.

ConverterKey does not require user accounts to use the public tools. The text entered into the Word Counter and the images used in the JPG to PNG converter are processed in your browser. Those tool inputs are not intentionally uploaded to our servers as part of the normal conversion flow.
The Currency Converter sends the currency pair and amount needed for a conversion request through our server-side API route so the site can fetch current reference rates from the upstream exchange-rate provider. That request is used only to complete the conversion and return the result.
We may also receive standard technical information that is commonly created when a site is visited, such as IP address, request headers, browser type, device type, referring page, and basic diagnostic or performance data.
Some tools on ConverterKey are designed to work locally in your browser. The Word Counter evaluates the text you enter in the page itself. The JPG to PNG converter also performs the image conversion in the browser. That means those inputs are not part of a normal server-side upload workflow for those tools.
Because browsers and third-party scripts can still create technical logs or analytics events around page usage, local processing does not mean the page is completely disconnected from analytics or advertising systems. It means the actual text and image conversion work is intended to stay in the browser during normal use.
ConverterKey uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, which pages are viewed, how people move between pages, what devices and browsers are used, and which traffic sources send visitors to the site. We use that information to improve the site, refine page performance, and understand which tools people find useful.

On ConverterKey, Google Tag Manager is installed to manage measurement and related site tags. Analytics and advertising-related tags may be delivered through Google Tag Manager rather than being hard-coded into each page.
